We are currently doing a film study unit on the movie "Finding Forrester". This movie describes the friendship between a Pulitzer Prize winning authour (Sean Connery) and a young aspiring African American writer from the Bronx (Rob Brown). The story focuses on themes such as friendship and discrimination. The students will be writing an essay which explains how the movie develops the elements of fiction including character, setting and theme. The class will be given 1 period to discuss and organize their information.
